FENS FORUM BERLIN: A SUCCESS STORY OF BRAIN RESEARCH

Brain diseases are responsible for more than a quarter of the burden of disease in the European Union: millions of people suffer from Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, the effects of strokes, depression or psychosis. This is also reflected in the programme of the 11th FENS Forum of Neuroscience, in which more than 7000 scientists from 77 countries will take part from 7 to 11 July in Berlin. Around 1300 contributions will be devoted to diseases of the nervous system. There will also be presentations on perception and behaviour, learning and thinking, chronic pain and sleep and what happens in the brain when strangers become friends.
